This also breaks the rpmbuild process. rpmbuild extracts the tar ball with the embedded version number that is specified in the .spec file. After extracting, it looks for a directory with the same embedded version number, which it can't find, so it halts the build. The work-around is to untar, rename the directory to include the version number, and make a new tar ball. This issue started with version 3.3.1. It is not specific to the OS version. |
